5 Homes You Can Buy on Amazon for Under $40,000

Yep, Amazon sells homes. You can get everything from Amazon nowadays, right? Median home sales prices are skyrocketing over $420,000 in 2024, making it more difficult for the average person to afford a home. The following homes are only a fraction of the price of a bare home. You’ll need to provide the furniture, a few appliances, and land, allowing for great customization in interior and usage. They can be used as rental properties, guest houses, or even as a pop-up shop. With homes like these, you do need to consider the laws and regulations of your area, too.

Heavy Duty Tiny Home: 2 beds, 1 bath, 380 sq. ft.

This home has a lot to offer: two bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen for only $30,000. If you finance it over 12 months with an Amazon credit card, cash or other methods, you’ll only pay $2500 a month. Like many of these houses, this tiny home is easy to install because the walls fold out for an expandable design. This house comes with a fully furnished bathroom complete with a shower and bath. The switchboard, wiring, and hot and cold valves have all been installed according to American standards 12. This home also has a full kitchen equipped with a sink and cabinets for storage. This home has everything except the furniture and you!

Semi-Furnished Tiny Home: 3 beds, 1 bath, 600 sq. ft.

Three sizes are available for this tiny house: 380 sq. ft., 600 sq. ft., and 800 sq. ft.. At only $25,0000, the 600 sq. ft. option has three bedrooms and one bathroom with all the amenities. If you finance this house over 12 months with an Amazon credit card, cash, or other methods, you’ll pay $2,083 monthly. The electrical system is completely installed, and the kitchen has top and bottom cabinets along with a faucet and basin. This space offers a lot of customization because one of the bedrooms could be converted into a den, office, or even a movie room. If you plan on using this house as a rental, making it unique by adding amenities and attractions could attract more renters.

Luxury Villa: 2 Bed, 1 Bath, 800 sq. ft.

Next is this luxury villa, the most expensive house on our list at $35,000. If you financed this over 12 months with an Amazon credit card, cash, or other financing, you’d pay $2,917 a month. Despite being the most expensive house, it’s also the largest and features a front porch, two beds, and one bath. Keep in mind that for all these homes, you’ll need to have a foundation for the house to sit on, along with water and electrical wires running to the house. The house's interior has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, electricity, and living space. Overall, this house is a great option to meet your needs.

Modular Mobile Home: 1 Bed, 1 Bath, 434 sq. ft.

This modular mobile home is one of the more modern options at $29,000 with one bed, one bath, and 290 sq. ft. of living space with a 144 sq. ft. porch. If you paid it off in 12 months with an Amazon credit card, cash, or other methods, you would pay $2,491 monthly. The house comes fully equipped with a bathroom, kitchen, electrical, and plumbing. The layout is similar to a studio with the bedroom and living space combined. While the open floor plan doesn’t offer excellent privacy, it opens up the space. Additionally, the flat roof allows for the easy installation of solar panels to power your home.

Tiny House: 1 Bed, 1 Bath, 156ft sq. ft.

Last on our list is this tiny house at 156 sq. ft. with one bed, one bath, and prefabricated US standard electrical and plumbing systems. There was no floor plan for this property, but I’m pretty sure the bedroom and living area are separated by a wall. This house is the cheapest on our list at $15,700. If you financed it over 12 months with an Amazon credit card, cash, or other method, you’d only pay $1,308 a month. Because this house is so small, you could save money by mounting it on a steel foundation like the one in the picture instead of a concrete one. However, you would need to check with the HOA to ensure it’s legal in your area.

Final Thoughts

Now you know five houses you can buy off Amazon for $40,000 or less. Unlike the four homes you can buy at Home Depot article, these Amazon houses are prefabricated and ready to move into. With that in mind, you do need to provide a foundation and land for these houses and ensure you follow housing laws in your area. Overall, all these properties are excellent for an out-of-state rental house or an affordable space for you and your family.
